I know many of us love to see what our friends’ are up to on Facebook. Some of us stalk the odd celeb on Twitter. (I plead guilty to having a little thing for Tom Hardy – especially when he’s on bedtime hour). I also don’t know many people in my industry who don’t have a little dilly-dally in the beautiful realm known as Pinterest.

My heart very much belongs to Instagram. When it comes to swoonable images, brilliantly unique ideas, and perfect suppliers. Instagram is most definitely where the wedding party is at.

I love that its a little microblog, a little community, and a place to reach out and socialise. You can find anything from floor-to-ceiling floral installations, beautiful wedding shoes, to beautiful ideas for readings and even stunning poetry.

Whilst pretty pictures are ever so lovely. Instagram is also a helpful place to start gathering ideas of trends you like and ones you don’t. As you find the good Instagrammers, you realise the links are genuine making your life easier. Images should always have a credit, especially when its sharing work of a professional photographer. The little write up should be alluring and quick to read. The tips easy on the brain, many are helpful and supportive.

Why blog about my most loved Instagram posts over the last 30 days, well why not? It is an extra bit of inspiration for you, and a little more insight into the lovely world of Ikonworks.

I would like you to feel connected to Ikonworks. By influencing this connection, you will understand my absolute investment in your special day. Allowing me to articulate why I do what I do for you with so much passion and commitment.  Shaping the way we then capture your actual wedding day, and the emotional moments through it with such genuine, poignant clarity.

Wedding Wednesday

Celebrating the ever so pretty floral choices our wonderful brides make. This is Jo’s bouquet made by lovely Florist at the Station ~ captured carefully and in beautiful light on a sofa at Oakley Hall hotel by me.

“After women, flowers are the most divine creation” ~ Dior.

What flowers are you thinking of having? Do you have a style in mind? Have you found the florist of your dreams?

Happy #weddingwednesday love Tasha x

“The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little.” ~ John Kabat-Zinn.

We stopped for a moment to place Katys veil perfectly, and for Gill to reassure her beautiful daughter one final time.

Then with a dazzling smile and a dress swoosh she was off to marry her lovely Simon.

These very special tiny moments in your day are priceless.

Yes, it is a Daffodil!

I spied a little post the other day from the ridiculously talented Jo from @thewildfoxuk about peachy coloured daffs… who knew?!?

These little beauties are called Delnashaugh…. with double creamy white petals enriched by fluffy peach-pink segments. It’s also fragrant, and long-lasting apparently.

The information I found said good pink doubles are hard to find in the world of daffodils, with large flowers and a unique peach colour these are just soooo pretty!

Other types are called acropolis and precocious… What do you think?

Could this “BEE” anymore perfect?

Yvonne Ellen what a pretty little present this would make for your prosecco loving bridesmaids…

L a v i e e n r o s e ~ I m o g e n 💕

One of my favourite gowns shot for Chanticleer Brides as part of the Shakespeare in love collection at Woodchester Mansion in 2015.

She is a stunning low backed lace gown with sweetheart neckline in antique lace. The softness of the antique rose lace encapsulates the overall outline of the gentle flowing fishtail skirt.

Seeking perfection for my commercial clients is key, after all I provide the images to ensure you fall in love with their creations, as much as we do at their collection shoots. #swoonworthy

Go ahead “out dream yourself” ~ anything is possible with the right support and suppliers 💕

How very Constance Spry

“One arranges flowers as the spirit moves you; to obey some inner prompting to put this colour with that, to have brilliance here, line there, a sense of opulence in this place or sparseness in that; to suit your surroundings, your mood, the weather, the occasion.

In a word, to do as you please, just as, if you could, you might paint a picture.” Judith Searles and I created a picture at Somerley House for Somerley House Weddings on the editorial #somerleyunveiled.

A magical day working on an extraordinary project, to inspire and excite #hampshire Brides over their selection of wedding flowers.

Using peach avalanche, David Austin Juliet, Brunei, white hypericum, asparagus fern, memory lane roses, Anigozanthos, eustoma in cream and salmon, astrantia, guervillia, parrot tulips in cream, scabiosa stellata and cafe au lait dahlia. Judith and Claire combined gorgeous pastel shades of peach, antique golds and blue/green from gorgeous eucalyptus alongside the beauty of the natural Somerley surroundings.

What flowers are you selecting for you amazing day?

I thought I’d look for a few inspirational images to get you thinking about the catering and special touches at your wedding. How beautiful is this from Ivenoven #indonesia via the lovely Burnett’s Boards 💕

I like this advice from The Knot

Style

Deal with the cake after all decisions about dress style and reception decor have been made. These elements can serve as a blueprint for the design and structure of your wedding cake. Choose a cake that’s compatible with the style of the venue, the season, your gown, the flower arrangements, or the menu. If you want colorful accents (such as sugar flowers or icing ribbons), give your baker fabric swatches.

Kelly from Boho Weddings says says – “Keep cake moist, by eating it all in one sitting”…

Happy bank holiday weekend! Remember the new website is up, do let me know what you think x

Ps – I love the play on words of this ladies company name.. I’ve ‘n’ oven

Nothing else matters

“I don’t know what it is about you. Maybe it’s the way nothing else matters when we are talking, or how how you make me smile more than anyone else has. It could be the way you say the right thing at exactly the right time. But whatever it is, I just want you to know it means everything to me”.

Working with your hand-picked, carefully selected wedding suppliers who ensure you are provided with flawless service and support is critical. We all love working with you to make your day complete, beautiful and everything you hoped.

I look forward to creating impeccably crafted, beautiful wedding images for you and your husband. Capturing your love story with my renowned gentle touch.

I look forward to chatting soon!

ALL YOU NEED IS CONFETTI

Crafting the perfect confetti throwing picture is one of my favourite things to do… it takes practice and some gentle guest cajoling.. Tips; 🌸 throw high, not low. 🌸 Little petals work better than big ones, and dried little petals even better. 🌸 Timing is everything, listen for the photographers countdown. 🌸 Put down your champagne (yes I really just said that).. just in case there is spillage.. 🌸 Your photographer should help you through this shot, and make it fun and perfect.. I’m afraid I had to “borrow” this from Lottie Dainton after reading the last paragraph.. After spending an incredibly brilliant day with some truly Hampshire Wedding Industry brilliant women I love the words 💋and had to share with you…
