Urban Angel – Behind the Scenes
Well it had to be done really, my first ever behind the scenes blog post from the Urban Angel shoot from last year with Chanticleer Brides. We all get on so well, that it would be impossible to let these fun images be hidden from the light of day forever more.
The shoot, was brilliant – Tracey was as ever totally driven by her vision for what she wanted to achieve for this collection shoot. “Something different” she said, “something that goes against everything I have done before” she said. When I saw Dame Emily Park in Bristol, I was a tad nervous and totally inspired at the same time.
Because the artwork changes constantly, we literally had no idea what we would find when we arrived. Our day started at 7.00, and well the impression this legal graffiti home provided was nothing short of incredible. The artists had excelled themselves. Through the two days, we even managed to get a Chanticleer added to one of the new designs being created as we shot around the park.
An amazing experience, my second collection shoot with the Chanticleer girls – what is next year Tracey?
Bristol Street Art
About Bristol says “scour the streets of Bristol and you’ll struggle not to find a cutting-edge piece of graffiti art decorating the city’s walls. Along narrow alleys, down side-streets and through under-passages, across building walls and boldly displayed on bridges, a piece of graffiti art soon jumps out depicting wry humour and subversive displays of pop-culture. Bristol is also where Banksy hails from; the elusive graffiti artist extraordinaire has an enormous collection of artistic works featured on streets, walls and bridges all over the world, and has inspired a new generation to take to the streets to create innovative and dynamic art.”
“Hold still, whilst we straighten the lining”
One of our gorgeous backdrops, but OMG look at the floor!
The colours were sensational.
Apparently Tracey had cold hands….
I know how to get this gorgeous girl to smile now, especially when she is not supposed to – “QMC Vic, QMC”.
The James Bond feeling to this shot is slightly going array during the rain and random heckling from the local school kids.
Nip and Tuck.. Tracey with her pins, the perfectionist at work.
We all wondered how Tracey was stying so warm, a rather sexy winter vest! Thermals anyone…
Lost in her own thoughts, whilst the dress hem is straightened to perfection.
Not quite straight! The hand of the boss…
BESPOKE graffiti!! Yes really… oh and Traceys bottom…
No idea….. I think something had slipped – Vic x
Tracey setting the fake tarmac in place. The floor looked like this in every shot, it was a mammoth labour of love to change it to what you see in the images. Each picture edited one by one by me!
Commercial client, One of my 2017 brides, friend, coffee date and immense talent. Watch this lady fly! xx She’s so clever.
Second day, nearly done silly faces!
Last day giggles!
If one of the girls sits on the side of her hip, we can lay the dress out for an alternative angle. That’s how the conversation started… this is how it ended… “OK, bad idea…. I slipped”… Love you Tracey x
